Welcome to the “Bob & Ron Show”!!

As usual, there is never a dull moment in these guys lives and the Augusta race weekend is no exception. So sit down, relax and get ready for an interesting view on our weekend in Augusta. The chain of events of this weekend actually started off before the weekend ever did. Due to the number of events that actually happened over the course of the weekend, I thought it best to just do a summary for you.

Pre-Race

Need new muffler for transport truck-takes 4 different mufflers over a period of two weeks until Ron & Sue get the right one. Ron is putting on the truck…just hours before we leave for Augusta.

The Weekend

  • Ron gets transport truck stuck in the yard in Tennessee Wednesday night when we are leaving-have to call the Achemans to pull us out-trip leave time is delayed two hours.
  • Arrive at Augusta & try to park the rig…Ron gets stuck again-Bob’s idea to park in that particular spot. Have to call another tow truck to get the transport “unstuck” again
  • Friday…test & tune goes fine Ron does a couple of passes in the Pro Mod & Bob in the fuel boat.
  • Saturday…Bob does an awesome pass in the Pro Mod running a 7.003 & then blows up the clutch.
  • Sunday Ron does his first pass in qualifying and totally blows up the engine!!
  • And to finally end the weekend in a really big bang….we survived a tornado…one of 6 tornadoes that that hit Augusta on Sunday…Whew!!

As I said, a quick version of another amazing weekend in the “B & R Pits”. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our weekend sponsor & friend Mr. Don Kingery from “Waste Management” in Augusta, GA. WE would also like to thank the “Savanna Suites” of Augusta, GA for the rooms for the weekend.

Last but not least, we want to thank our “awesome team” including Roger Way, for they’re constant support of this program and most importantly they’re friendship. Without all of you, there would be no team and certainly not as much fun!! Thanks guys.

Our next race will be in Phoenix, AZ in November from the 17th to the 20th.
Come & celebrate the “Coors Light World Nationals” with us then. The “Ron & Bob” show to continue…
